Ameet Patel is Senior Vice President of Regional Operations for Penn National Gaming, Inc. In this position, Mr. Patel is responsible for overseeing all facets of Penn National’s facilities located in Illinois, Mississippi, Kansas, and Missouri. Ameet has extensive experience in gaming, food and beverage, marketing and human resources to his role as General Manager of Hollywood Casino Columbus. He was responsible for the start-up, opening and management of the $400 million, 180,000-square-foot facility owned by Penn National Gaming Inc. In addition, he led the recruitment and training of 2,000 employees for the casino’s gaming space, food and beverage offerings and entertainment lounge. He has more than 20 years of experience in the gaming industry. Previously he served as Vice President and General Manager of Penn National’s Argosy Casino Hotel & Spa in Riverside, Mo., and Executive Vice President and Assistant General Manager at Hollywood Casino in Charles Town, W.V. He also had senior positions with Sun International’s Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas and Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, at several Atlantic City properties and with Hemmeter Enterprises casinos in Colorado, Louisiana and Acapulco, Mexico. Ameet earned an MBA from Philadelphia University, Philadelphia, PA and a Bachelor of Commerce (Major-Accounting and Auditing) from M.S. University, Baroda, India.
