Michael is a career advertising & marketing professional with decades of experience wearing many hats at various businesses and agencies. He began his digital career in 1994 as the first art director for Time Warner’s Internet portal, Pathfinder, followed by numerous gigs at many other soon-to-fail dotcom enterprises. When the smoke cleared in 2005, Michael joined MGM Grand as AVP of Advertising, where he expanded his expertise to encompass hospitality brand management & casino marketing. In addition to his five years at MGM Grand, Michael worked at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, launching the first brand campaign for The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, now the most successful shopping mall in the world.
Today, Michael is VP of Corporate Marketing for Wind Creek Hospitality, an enterprise of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, the only federally recognized Tribe in Alabama. Michael manages the company’s marketing efforts, and oversees an eclectic & talented team focussed on driving visitation and building brand awareness on behalf its three casinos and two resort hotels. Michael is fixated on inventing desire for the social media dependent, smart phone-enabled customer.
