Bio: Mary Lou Anderson is senior director of corporate human resources for American Casino and Entertainment Properties, LLC. Anderson's 20-year career spans the banking and financial, manufacturing, mining, hospitality, gaming, health care and education industries. After college, she began her career in banking in Pennsylvania and New Mexico. She spent a lengthy tenure during the 1980s as the key human resources executive with AMAX Inc. in New Mexico and Nevada. Intrigued by the hospitality and gaming industry, Anderson joined Bally Corp. in the early 1990s as employee relations manager. She then moved to Hilton Gaming Corp. where she served in several human resources and other management positions before leaving for a brief tenure in the health care industry. Eventually, Anderson returned to the Nevada gaming market and has served as director of human resources at the Atlantis Casino & Resort, Harrah’s Reno, Texas Station Hotel and Casino, and for a large tribal-gaming entity in northern Oregon. In the past year, she has been a consultant on human resources, business development, marketing and public relations with her own company, Anderson Business Partners.
