1042: Regulation and Control: How Will the Internet Industry Respond?

This session will discuss the need for adequate Intenet gaming regulations, and those that are currently in place in two major Internet gaming jurisdictions, Kahnawake and Antigua, the process of conducting due diligence on applicants and the impact of the Patriot Act on Internet companies. Since Internet gaming companies revenues are held in banks in foreign jurisdictions, the impact of the Patriot Act may cause the international banking community to be forced to be more vigilant relative to Internet companies concerning anti-money laundering and enhanced due diligence on account holders to comply with the USA Patriot Act and U.S. banking mandates.
